Mette Mandrup

Director, Danish Federation for Company Sport

Mette Mandrup is the Director of the Danish Federation for Company Sport (DFCS), a national NGO dedicated to promoting physical activity in the workplace—from internship all the way through to retirement.

Established in 1946, DFCS is now Denmark’s third-largest sports association. It is primarily funded by the state-owned sports betting company, Danske Spil, and engages over half a million people annually through workplace sports clubs and nationwide events. Deeply rooted in volunteerism, the federation champions community engagement and wellbeing—before, during, and after work.

Mandrup, who has led the organisation since 2020, she sees her role not only as encouraging active workplaces, but also as strengthening the organisation itself. Under her leadership, DFCS has undergone a digital transformation and embraced new partnerships at the intersection of health, civil society, and working life. She also plays an active role in promoting international cooperation in grassroots sport and represents DFCS at the General Assembly of the European Federation for Company Sport.

Mette Mandrup lives with her family near the town of Korsør. In her spare time, she enjoys running, hiking, swimming, and diving.
